Description
These Jack-O-Lantern Orange Fruit Cups are a festive, healthy Halloween treat! Hollowed out oranges become adorable mini pumpkins filled with vibrant, juicy fruit. They're fun to make, kid-approved, and perfect for parties!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large navel oranges
- 1 cup blueberries (150g)
- 1 cup grapes, quartered (150g)
- Optional: diced kiwi, mango, strawberries, pineapple
- Optional: pomegranate seeds
- Optional: mini marshmallows or dark chocolate chips
- Optional: gummy worms
Instructions
- Use a small serrated knife to cut a zigzag pattern around the top of each orange and remove the lid.
- Use a spoon to gently scoop out the flesh of the orange. Set the pulp aside to optionally mix into the fruit filling.
- Carve fun Jack-O-Lantern faces into each orange using a paring knife.
- Fill each orange cup with blueberries, grapes, and any other fruit or toppings you like.
- Replace the zigzag top and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
Notes
Choose firm oranges with thick skins for easier carving. Chill the fruit before serving for a refreshing bite. Prep the night before and assemble before serving. Avoid overly juicy fruit to prevent sogginess. Makes 2 servings but easily scalable.
